It’s been a wild ride but the cafe is officially FINISHED and open to the public 🎉❤️

This has been a dream years in the making that has finally come to fruition and we cannot thank y’all enough for following along with us as we tackled renovating this 125 year old building and turning it into a “homeplace” for our community.
We hope you enjoy this re-cap of the start to finish renovation + the first 4 days of opening week.

To those of you who have traveled from all over to enjoy the cafe in person, THANK YOU! We have loved meeting each and every one of you!

MAN POWER NEEDED! Anyone wishing to help fight the forest fire in Mathias, you can report to Mathias Fire Hall on 259.
‼️PLEASE HELP ‼️Hardy County Immediate Needs:
-metal rakes
-leaf blowers
-ATVs
-fuel
-2 cycle oil for chainsaws/leaf blowers
-man-power!!
**THE CREWS ARE EXHAUSTED!! If you can supply these things pleas head to the Mathias-Baker Volunteer Fire Department today where they can direct you on how to best assist!

Misty Valley Grocery will take donations to cover the cost of fuel needed by the fire company for ATV.

❗️❗️MAJOR UPDATE Please help!
Hardy county is experiencing fires that are rapidly spreading. Yesterdays winds caused down power lines and brush fires that evolved into forest fires.
Families have lost homes, locals without training are side by side with Hardy county firefighters and just about every other surrounding counties firefighters helping to battle the fires.

*Note- we are currently safe, our animals are safe, our personal A-frame home is safe. However, our community and first responders are in need of bottled water, non-perishable food, blankets, towels, families whose houses have been lost need clothing. Departments are asking for everyone to keep all responding firefighters in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this critical situation.
If you are local and can contribute items please help.
