❗️❗️MAJOR UPDATE Please help! Hardy county is experiencing fires that are rapidly spreading. Yesterdays winds caused down power lines and brush fires that evolved into forest fires. Families have lost homes, locals without training are side by side with Hardy county firefighters and just about every other surrounding counties firefighters helping to battle the fires.
*Note- we are currently safe, our animals are safe, our personal A-frame home is safe. However, our community and first responders are in need of bottled water, non-perishable food, blankets, towels, families whose houses have been lost need clothing. Departments are asking for everyone to keep all responding firefighters in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this critical situation. If you are local and can contribute items please help.

Update from the Town of Wardensville(WV): Sheltering options at this time are the VFW, Wardensville Rescue Squad, Lost River Trading post[until 8pm Pets allowed], and the Assembly of God. Christine Montgomery is there now and they are working on provisions
