The floor joists that we temporarily installed with the intention of only being a platform to raise the ridge beam and rafters, will now need to be permanently installed. High wind gusts kick up as we lay the subfloor and little do we know, those high winds are causing downed trees in our little town resulting in sparks flying from powerlines and wildfires kicking up. Before long our county and others around us are ablaze with fire. Local volunteer fire departments are overwhelmed and call in the community to help.
