NEXT UP: House of the Dragon!

So, I was hoping to make companion retrospectives for Planet of the Apes and Mad Max but somehow, ran out of time to review 15 movies (+ the live-action Apes series, oh and the animated series) thanks to some things that came up. I couldn't help but talk about at least ONE Apes movie so I just released a WIRBA on the 1968 OG. But now, it's time to move on (though, strong possibility I come back around to do the full retrospectives at some point). Ahead of House of the Dragon Season 2, I'm hoping to get out a sort of recap/review of Season 1 and then I'll be covering the show week-to-week with my bros on the Talking Targaryen podcast.

After that, we'll be fully into the summer season which means MARVEL! MCU Timeline Update, X-Men Timeline, and more.

Hoping to squeeze in another WIRBA or two in between as well (was partway through writing DONNIE DARKO when I got sidetracked. Would very much like to come back to it).

Thank you everyone for 200,000 subscribers! It could not have come at a better time because this month is particularly sentimental for me with many OneTake-related anniversaries:

May 20, 2019 - My first video!

May 28, 2021 - Gave my two weeks notice to go YouTube full-time (this was also the day after my first date with my girlfriend... Which was a fun convo. "What do you do for a living?" ... "For the next 12 hours, Finance! But, after that..."

May 27, 2022 - 100K subs

And now I can add May 15th to that list for 200K. Thank you again everyone for helping to make this dream come true 🙏

What's next for OneTake? Next video will most likely be my review of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, sometime the next couple of days. After that, I'll probably focus on some more Mad Max content in the lead up to FURIOSA! After that, lots more planned for the summer which I'll let you know about as we get closer!

PLANET OF THE APES Timeline coming tomorrow! It'll be one-half prep for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and one-half going through the original (+ the insane sequels that followed).

After that, the next video will most likely be "What DONNIE DARKO Is Really About", something that's been on my to-do list for a while.

Finally, depending on demand/how the timeline performs, I might do an Apes retrospective like I did for the Monsterverse, where I review each movie.

Next up: CIVIL WAR! Monday night, IMAX held early screenings for Alex Garland's Civil War and I was lucky enough to grab a ticket. I loved the movie and its themes resonated with me so my next video will be "What CIVIL WAR Is Really About", hopefully releasing by this weekend so it'll be ready for you as soon as you walk out of the theater!

After Civil War, it'll be the PLANET OF THE APES timeline (hopefully releasing a week or two before Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes) and after that, just like I did for the Monsterverse, I'll likely release a retrospective reviewing all the movies (including Kingdom).

I recently went through the entire Godzilla/Kong Monsterverse timeline and in this next video, I'll be reviewing and giving my thoughts on every movie/show in the series with help from @Castzilla VS The Pod Monster ! The video comes in at an epic 3 HOURS and includes my recap/review of the latest entry, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire!

After that, I'll most likely shift gears into PLANET OF THE APES, taking a similar approach with a timeline before the new movie and retrospective after! Hoping to also get another WIRBA (What ____ Is Really About) or two done in between.

Just finished a marathon session getting out the latest epic chronological recap! What's next? Some awesome stuff:

First up is another WIRBA (What ____ Is Really About). This is about one of my favorite movies, 28 DAYS LATER. Was inspired by the recent announcement that 28 Years Later is officially coming and decided to revisit the original.

After that, I'm excited to announce a collaboration with @Castzilla VS The Pod Monster of @HackTheMovies fame! You might have seen my "Ultimate Halloween Retrospective" from a couple years ago, where I recapped every movie in the franchise followed by in-depth reviews of each. I've been wanting to try that format again and will be following up the just released Monsterverse Timeline with the "Ultimate Monsterverse Retrospective"! I'll review every movie and show, with help from Godzilla experts Tony and Johanna!
